| ITU TELECOM WORLD 2009 Set To Open In October ITU TELECOM WORLD 2009 will bring together high level participants, including Heads of State, Heads of UN Agencies, Ministers, CEOs and other key industry players to share views on key issues around the role and positioning of the ICT sector for global recovery. It will also showcase companies from across the full spectrum of the ICT industry and feature pavilions from around the world. Thematic pavilions will spotlight different aspects of the ICT industry. Under the theme "Open Networks, Connected Minds" the event will explore the trends and technologies that are driving the ICT sector. ITU TELECOM WORLD 2009 will be a critical milestone for the ICT industry. Who: United Nations Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon, plus a number of confirmed Heads of State.
