2009 QITMF Looks for More Opportunities

Jointly organized by China Council for the Promotion of International Trade Shandong Sub-council, Shandong Province Textile Industry Association, China Chamber of International Commerce Shandong Chamber of Commerce, Shandong Province Textile & Garment Association, Qingdao Textile & Garment Association, Qingdao Haiming International Exhibition, and Adsale Exhibition Services Ltd., The 10th China (Qingdao) International Textile Machinery Fair (QITMF) will be re-scheduled to September 15-17, 2009 at Qingdao International Conventional Center, PR China.

2009 is a difficult year for textile industry in Shandong. Apart from the toughest business environment and global financial crisis, the market players are also suffering from export diminishing, short of funding, high production cost, etc. Facing all the unfavorable factors, the Shangdong textile industry still maintain their insistence to tackle the challenges. Five key developments are assuring the steady growth of textile industry.

Support the study to infirmities in the garment production chain. This helps to tackle bottle-neck problem in production and for a healthier industrial development in Shandong Province; Advance the home textile technology; Upgrade the spinning technology and develop new products (1. Increase enterprises' competitiveness by upgrading the equipments; 2. develop medium to high grade grey fabric; 3. develop cost and energy saving technology and skills); Develop new technology and innovative materials in woolen industry in order to meet the need of garment development, Further develop dye and finishing industry, at the same time, enhance the industry standard.

Dedicated to serving the textile industry in Shandong and Northern China, QITMF is looking for opportunities during the economic winter. Through its well-developed platform for trade and technology exchange, enterprises can explore new business opportunities, and rebuild confident to the market. In response to most exhibitors' request and buyers' feedback, the show dates has been changed from early April to September of each year. Numbers of professional visitors in the industry found exhibitions in April is less favourable as there are many fabrics shows at that time of the year. Another consideration is the great demand for a professional and authoritative exhibition platform in the latter half of the year. Therefore, organizers of QITMF have rescheduled the fair to every September, which allow industry players to participate with the trade fair in a more upbeat investment environment.

QITMF was founded in 2000. After going through 10-year successive development, the fair is now the most developed and advanced textile machinery fair in North China. It has been committed to providing professional exhibition services for the advancement of the textile industry, not only in Shandong but also the rest of Northern China.
