Cibtm Grows Pan Asian Exhibitor And Hosted Buyer Attendance

The China Incentive Business Travel and Meetings Exhibition taking place between 8-10 September 2009 at the China National Convention Center (CNCC) in Beijing, has developed a strong Pan Asian attendance with a number of new exhibitors as well as an increase in Hosted Buyers from the region.

With a little under 6 months to go, Taiwan External Trade Development Council (TAITRA) has recently signed as a new exhibitor, together with the Ministry of Culture & Tourism Republic of Indonesia, Hong Kong Tourism Board, Philippines Department of Tourism and Thailand Convention and Exhibition Bureau. At the same time, Macau Government Tourist Office, Singapore Tourism Board, Korea Tourist Organisation and The Beijing Tourism Administration have all returned to the event and increased their stand space.

2009 will also see an increase in the number of Asian Hosted Buyers C the biggest single group making up a third of the total number of Hosted Buyers attending CIBTM. They will join a further 200 from across China and an increased number of international Buyers from outside of Asia.

Commented Graeme Barnett, Exhibition Director, "One of our key objectives for CIBTM is to create growth for the event from the Asian region, and this year with so many new exhibitors and others increasing their stand space, CIBTM is heading towards this ultimate goal.

"Equally the increase in exhibitors from the Middle East and Europe is indicative of not only the increase in airlift between the regions international hubs, but also the power house that China and Asia represents for outbound business."
