Fire News Leadership Award Nominations Now Being Accepted

2009 Fire News Outstanding Award nominations are now being accepted. Candidates will give selflessly of themselves and exhibit strong leadership qualities. They will communicate effectively, cultivate trust, pride and commitment, and enhance the image and reputation of their department/agency. They may have led an outstanding rescue at the scene of an accident or they may have managed an impactful fire prevention campaign within their community. Nominations will consist of fire, rescue or EMS professionals of any rank within the industry.

The 2009 Fire News Outstanding Leadership Award will be presented at Firehouse Expo, July 21-26, 2009 in Baltimore, MD. In addition to being spotlighted at the show, the award winner and two guests will each receive FREE access to three days of conference sessions, networking events, opening ceremonies, keynote presentation, and over 460 exhibitors displaying the latest products, services and technologies in the industry.

To nominate a fire, rescue or EMS industry professional for the 2009 Fire News Outstanding Leadership Award, download an official form from www.FirehouseExpo.com. Nominations must be made by Monday, May 18, 2009. The winner will be selected from a pool of qualified nominees and announced by Friday, May 29, 2009.

In addition to the 2009 Fire News Outstanding Leadership Award, Firehouse Expo will provide complimentary exhibit hall admission to all Fire News readers. Free exhibit hall admission includes admission to three days of exhibits, opening ceremonies and keynote presentation, networking events, and the fire service parade and flea market.
