Guangzhou International Lighting Exhibition

More than 1,500 exhibitors from over 20 countries and regions will showcase their products at this year's Guangzhou International Lighting Exhibition which will take place on 9 – 12 June 2009 at the China Import and Export Fair Pazhou Complex in Guangzhou, China. Guangzhou International Lighting Exhibition is Asia's largest lighting industry fair and the world's second biggest lighting show for lighting products and services. It is the preferred Asian sourcing destination for thousands of architects, building planners, lighting retailers and wholesalers from around the world.

The 2009 fair occupies 11 halls and 110,000 sqm of exhibition space. Two of the fair's 11 halls will be dedicated to LED lighting and the other halls will house a comprehensive range of technical and exterior lighting, decorative lighting, professional lighting, electric lighting, together with accessories and components.

This year's exhibitors include respected brands such as Bright LED Electronics (Taiwan), Fiam Lighting (Italy), Fulham (USA), Fumagalli (Italy), Osram (Germany), Philips (the Netherlands), and Seoul Semiconductor (Korea).

Now in its 14th edition, the Guangzhou International Lighting Exhibition offers a diverse fringe programme to maximise the fair's effectiveness for both exhibitors and buyers. In-depth sessions for industry professionals and end users will be presented by a line-up of highly renowned international speakers and include:

. Strategies in Urban Lighting Conference co-organised by LUCI (Lighting Urban Community International). During this event, government departments, authorities and lighting professionals will share different city experiences in relation to urban lighting master plans, changes and improvements. The speakers will be Mr Michel Peret, City Lighting Manager, City of Paris (France), Mr Philip Deroo, Lighting Plan Project Manager, City of Ghent (Belgium) and a representative from the City of Kunming (China).

Global Lighting Information Day is a new platform for international experts to exchange ideas and share latest lighting technologies. First in the series is British Information Day, co-organised by the British Chamber of Commerce, Guandong. This session offers an overview of the UK lighting market and products, with a special focus on "energy efficiency". China Information Day offers sourcing tips to overseas buyers.

The 5th Guangzhou International Lighting Technology Symposium hosts a forum of international and domestic industry experts who will share first-hand information on topics such as landscape and architecture lighting, interior lighting and LED technology.

Training Programme. The topic is "The road to becoming a lighting designer in China", presented by Mr Li Nong from the China Illuminating Engineering Society.

The Innovation in Lighting Symposium is a two-day symposium where technically advanced market leaders and/or research experts will demonstrate the latest technologies and ideas on different lighting aspects.

Energy Saving Week of Guangdong Province is organised by the Economic and Trade Commission of Guangdong Province.

China Solid-State Lightings (SSL) Application Technology Forum is organised by the China Association of Lighting Industry. China Solid-State Lightings (Guangzhou) CEO Conference is organised by Guangzhou Guangya Messe Frankfurt Co Ltd and Shenzhen Hulian Gangwan Ltd Co.

Visitor Delegation Programme offers a host of matchmaking and networking events giving visitors the opportunity to interact and engage with key industry players.
