The 4th edition of Korea Railways & Logistics Fair

The 4th edition of Korea Railways & Logistics Fair will take place from 3 to 6 June 2009, at the Busan Exhibition & Convention Center – BEXCO, Busan, Korea. Railways industry is one of Korea's key industries, boasting high-tech technologies by the industry leaders, such as Rotem Company, Woojin Industrial Systems and Hankook Fiber Glass, which are working as a magnet to attract the global players and key buyers to the nation as well as Korea Railways & Logistics Fair.

Entitled the first exhibition in the world officially supported by the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (UNESCAP), Korea Railways & Logistics Fair is Korea's only and one of Asia's predominant exhibitions in the railways industry, held in parallel with logistics sector.

Korea Railways & Logistics Fair 2009 is expected to be spotlighted once again, with the reconnection of inter-Korean railways between South and North Koreas – for the first time in 56 years since it was cut in 1951, the two Koreas conducted test runs of cross-border railways in May 2007 and began a regular cargo train service across the border in December 2007. The reconnection of inter-Korean railway suggests us significant meanings as an important inter-Korean economic cooperation as well as a cornerstone for the TAR network.

Furthermore, Korea Railways & Logistics Fair 2009 will provide international standards of business platform, as the fair obtained the certificate from UFI – the world's most influential international exhibition certification body sponsored by some 450 members from 76 countries. With the UFI certificate under its belt, Korea Railways & Logistics Fair is firmly establishing itself as a competitive global exhibition, presenting unlimited potential for further growth.
