EP Shanghai / Electrical Shanghai 2009 Kicks off in July

The 7th International Exhibition on Electric Power Equipment and Technology and The 6th International Exhibition on Electrical Engineering, Electrical Equipment & Contractor's Supplies (namely as EP Shanghai / Electrical Shanghai 2009) will be staged from July 8 - 10, 2009 at Shanghai International Exhibition Center, PR China. Organized by China Electricity Council and Adsale Exhibition Services Ltd, this largest electric power exhibition in China will gather 400 leading suppliers from 20 countries/regions and about 20,000 trade buyers under one roof.

As the only electric power expo endorsed by UFI Approved Event, with full support gained from major power groups and power grid corporations in China, this stunning trade exhibition will be exhibited by a number of well-known corporations. For instance, 3M, ABB, Siemens, Hyosung, Areva, Chint, Schniewindt, Japan AE Power, Hitachi, Toshiba, Hyundai Heavy Industries, Ormazabal, Wacker, Rittal, Roechling, Daihen, MR CHINA, Pentair, Aggreko, NARI, NERC and South Electric Power, etc. will have large exhibiting area at the fairground.

Recent forecast on the power industry and government policy of China indicates the robust demand for grid construction enhancement and function improvement for operational effectiveness. Besides, the market trend of optimizing thermal power, application of energy saving and green power technologies also create large market demand for advanced power equipment and solutions, undeniably favor the worldwide equipment suppliers.

Comprising 70% international exhibitors, EP Shanghai / Electrical Shanghai 2009 will embrace a spanning of innovative equipment and technologies from power generation, power transmission & distribution, construction & engineering of turn-key project, power dispatching system, to industrial power equipment, transformer, switch, automation system, power circuit breaker, testing, measurement & control equipment, energy saving technology, etc. New exhibitors from Finland, Norway and Russia will have their first participation in China.

One of the exhibitors - Pentair will introduce its Modo Outdoor Enclosure during the show. Its features include that extrusion frame will make the enclosure light as well as better performance on vibration application. Double wall is good at energy-saving and the unique side panels prevent the enclosure from destroying on purpose. Pentair Technical Products Group also supplies the specific outdoor air-conditioner and heat-exchanger.

Aggreko Rental Power will be another highlight to the fair. Aggreko from UAE is the world leader in the supply of temporary power generation services. Aggreko International Power Projects (AIPP) is the dedicated business unit formed specifically to handle multi-megawatt temporary power projects. AIPP manages the world's most extensive fleet of containerized generators, load-bands, transformers and ancillary equipments, allowing rapid mobilization to respond to customers planned or emergency needs.

More new brand exhibits to the Chinese market will be found at the fairground. The innovation leader and technology leader in the tap-changer business, MR, will bring its regulation and control of power transformer, systems for power quality management and reactive power compensation. Others include Protection Relays, Arc Flash Protection and Measuring and monitoring Units for power systems by VAMP OY of The Netherlands, high-voltage power cable accessories by BRUGG, Ashcroft's pressure and temperature measurement instruments with its gauges, thermometers, diaphragm seals, pressure/temperature switches, transducers, calibration and control equipment, and NARI - the renowned Chinese enterprise in the areas of electric power system and its automation, AC & DC high voltage technologies, water conservancy & hydroelectric power measuring and control.

Remarked by the organizer, automation equipment and parts will be another exhibit highlight of EP Shanghai / Electrical Shanghai 2009. Exhibitors such as Hyosung will introduce its intelligent substation automation system, Accuenrgy (Canada)'s power system automation and measurement products, and a range of power system automation and equipment by ABB, Siemens, Chint, Hitachi, NARI, Sifang, NIEAF-SMITT BV from The Netherlands, AUCOTEC from Germany, SAFT from France, etc. Furthermore, "Power Automation Conference" will be concurrently held. Market specialists and manufacturers will have in-depth presentations on the market trend, applications and business opportunities.

Besides, the fair will have international pavilions from Germany, United States (by US Embassy - Commercial Service) and Russia (by International Sustainable Energy Development Centre - ISEDC). Supported by the Russian Ministry of Energy, the Russian pavilion will introduce a wide range of high-quality sustainable energy equipment and leading-edge technologies. ISEDC will also deliver a presentation in the concurrent forum on Energy Saving & Environmental Protection to share the research report regarding the global sustainable energy with industrial players.

Other concurrent events such as China International Power Forum, Symposia on Power Transmission and Distribution, Green Power will be participated by related government officials and trade professionals.

EP Shanghai / Electrical Shanghai 2009 has received extensive responses from trade visitors that 3, 000 visitors have already pre-registered from the show website.
