Premiere in Mumbai – BulkSolids India 2010

The first BulkSolids India takes place in the Nehru Centre in the Indian metropolis of Mumbai from 2-3 March 2010. The organizers of the international conference and accompanying exhibition are Vogel Business Media of Würzburg and NürnbergMesse, whose international subsidiary Nürnberg Global Fairs is responsible for the actual organization of the event. Vogel Business Media is responsible for the contents and organization of the conference.

The handling of raw materials is one of the most vital parameters for smooth-running processes in countless industries. The process chosen depends on the properties of the bulk solid to be handled.

Both the conference programme and the accompanying exhibition of the first BulkSolids India in Mumbai in 2010 are devoted to these processing technologies and clearly focuses on transport, storage and handling of bulk solids, granules and powders. This combination results in a compact event for India's bulk solids industry. The topics of the conference (in English) are: bulk ports, belt conveying, storage, dust emission control, pneumatic conveying, slurry transportation, train loading and unloading, maintenance, and bulk material properties.

Some 200 trade visitors and conference participants and approx. 40 exhibitors are expected at the premiere of the event. A programme committee of top experts from science and industry is currently drawing up the conference programme chaired by Dr. V. K. Agarwal, Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi. Persons interested in presenting a paper can submit their proposals in the form of a single-page abstract until 15 September 2009.

"With BulkSolids India we are developing another key world market with one of the core themes of NürnbergMesse, " says Claus Rättich, Member of the Management Board, NürnbergMesse. "We are particularly pleased about entering this market together with Vogel Business Media, a highly competent partner in this field. We have cultivated good relations with Vogel for many years and BulkSolids India is a logical continuation of our very close cooperation in the course of IPB China."

"After organizing two very successful BulkEurope events of this format in Europe, I am now very pleased to venture this move into India together with NürnbergMesse, " says Reiner Grochowski, Vogel Business Media. "The Indian market is of great importance particularly for handling bulk solids, because there is a big demand for raw materials there. We are especially looking forward to establishing a new event there as part of a trustful cooperation."

Concentrated expertise
BulkSolids India also receives professional support from two established products of the two equal partners. The team from the international magazine bulk solids handling in Würzburg contributes sound professional knowledge and its experience of organizing the European events to arranging the contents and planning the two-day conference (see information on page 3).

The second organizer on board is an experienced organizer of special-interest exhibitions. The portfolio of NürnbergMesse also includes established events with related themes like POWTECH – the International Trade Fair for Mechanical Processing Technologies and Instrumentation (see information on page 3) –, IPB, International Powder and Bulk, Shanghai, China, and the recently acquired ANALÍTICA Latin America, São Paulo, Brazil.
