Messe München Introduces Electronica And Productronica

electronicIndia, the most important trade fair for electronics in India, will be held in future under two new names, i.e. electronica India and productronica India. Messe München International is therefore renewing its brand strategy in India for electronica and productronica, the two world's leading trade fairs that take place in Munich.

The contents and graphic appearance of electronica India and productronica India will be closely linked to electronica and productronica. In future both events will use the slightly adapted logo of their parent trade fairs and their graphic design. As a result of the adaptation of the trade fair name and brand image to electronica and productronica, they will have a clear connection with the trade fairs in Munich and will clearly illustrate the different contents of the two current trade fair segments, i.e. electronic components and electronics products, which were previously combined under the name electronicIndia.

Reiterates Mr. Manmeet Sabarwal, Managing Director of MMI India "to provide further a clear focus and a definite product segmentation our twin offerings and the world's leading trade show brands – electronica- the worlds largest show for components, assemblies and systems and Productronica- the worlds largest show for production technologies, are being introduced into the India market for the first time and electronicIndia 2009 will hence forth be known as electronica India and productronica India 2009. "

This step was made possible through the great success of electronicIndia 2008, which turned the event into the most important electronics trade fair in India. Over 12,300 registered trade fair visitors and congress delegates, 4,500 exhibitor visitors, 446 exhibitors with their own stand and 564 representative companies are an indication of the importance of the trade fair for the Indian market. The strong growth both among electronic components and systems (electronica) and in the area of electronics production (productronica) makes it necessary to divide the trade fair into two sections in order to highlight the contents of both parts. Both trade fairs will continue to be held at the same time – September 8 to 11, 2009 – at the Bangalore International Exhibition Centre (BIEC).

Organized for the first time independently by Messe München International and its subsidiary MMI India, the trade fair celebrated its return to Bangalore. Here the history of this event began eight years ago in a tent with carpets on the floor. The trade fair is now held in India's most modern exhibition centre, i.e. the Bangalore International Exhibition Centre, and is the leading platform for the electronics industry in India and Southeast Asia.
