| Pharmtech 2009 For the last eleven years, PharmTech has been the only international trade fair in Russia and the CIS which caters specifically for the pharmaceutical industry. Due to the extremely high international standards, producers in the Russian pharmaceuticals industry have considerable requirements in terms of technical equipment and modernisation projects. In order to provide this industrial sector with an optimum forum, PharmTech was organised for the first time as a stand-alone exhibition in 1999, alongside the largest healthcare exhibition in Russia, Zdravoochranenie, and was allocated a total floor area of 180 sq. m. PharmTech 2009 will be held on 24-27 November 2009 at the International Exhibition Centre Crocus Expo in Moscow. It has the official support amongst others by the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation, the Federal Service for Control in the Field of Healthcare and Social Development and the Association of the Russian Pharmaceutical Manufacturers. In 2009, PharmTech again will be held alongside Ingredients Russia exhibition. Holding these two exhibitions at the same dates provides an opportunity to display the full range of equipment, technologies and ingredients for the pharmaceutical, cosmetic and food industry. For the first time PharmTech 2009 will host an official German joint stand. The event has developed extremely positively in recent years. In 2008, there were 220 exhibitors from 21 countries which means a 10 % growth in comparison to the previous year. More than 5, 800 trade visitors came to the exhibition from Russia, Ukraine, Belarus, Kazakhstan and the Baltic States. Due to the high demand of exhibitors for the sector cosmetic production, the event from 2006 also includes CosmoTech that focuses on ingredients and raw materials for the cosmetic industry, production equipment for cosmetics and perfumery, packaging for cosmetics and perfumery products, clean room technologies, IT systems and solutions as well as laboratory equipment. The highly-qualified complementary events surrounding PharmTech are a further reason for its success.
