Computex Taipei 2009 — Bringing You the Winds of Change

Computex Taipei 2009 is growing strong despite global economic downturn. Taking place from June 2 to 6 in Taipei World Trade Center (TWTC) NANGANG Exhibition Hall, Hall 1, Hall 3 and Taipei Int'l Convention Center (TICC), the show hosts 1,700 exhibitors using 4,600 booths to showcase the best and is expected to attract 35,000 international buyers.

Products from wide-ranging categories can be found in such dedicated areas as: Components & Parts, Data Storage Devices, Software, Computer Systems, Peripherals, Displays & Digital Entertainment Products…this year's show also features a 700-booth WiMAX & Communication Products area to paint a clearer picture of a more wireless future.

Computex Taipei is an important technology and product launch platform for numerous IT giants such as Intel, AMD, Asus and Acer. Two " New Product Launch Sites" both in TWTC Nangang Exhibition Hall and Hall 1 are set up to accommodate the growing need of exhibitors from home and abroad to stage their new products. Altogether 40 companies are to demonstrate their new products in these dedicated areas. This new service can also help buyers and media to easily discover the hottest products and the latest trends.

And with procurement meetings being 3 day long this year, records results are also expected.

Computex Taipei design & innovation awards (d & i awards) are back by popular acclaim after their launch in 2008. Executed by the globally well-known iF international Forum Design, the competition awards products in such categories as communication products, computer systems, data storage device/media, optoelectronic display product and digital audio/video, components& parts, peripherals and gaming & entertainment. This year the competition not only features an opportunity to win one of the coveted Gold Awards for internationally recognized iF design quality, it will also present a "COMPUTEX TAIPEI Green Award" to demonstrate the importance of environmental friendliness and sustainability with cutting-edge technologies in the ICT field.

Meanwhile, the awards presented at the Best Choice of COMPUTEX TAIPEI competition highlight function-oriented technology to inspire the industry to go where it has never gone before. This year, the competition unfolds in 12 award categories and offers 3 special awards.

Computex Taipei is more than the perfect platform for the most discerning buyers and the most competitive exhibitors; it also stages a series of events ranging from forums and factory visits, to conferences and buyer nights. The 1st China Exhibition Area Staged
Apart from 260 companies from 23 countries that will exhibit in 570 booths in the Overseas Exhibitor's area, the very first China Exhibition Area will feature 80 booths, with big Chinese brands such as Tsinghua Tongfang and MALATA. And with this comes the Japan Pavilion, Korea Pavilion and Hong Kong Pavilion to showcase some of the most advanced IT breakthroughs in the regions.
