Inspiring interiors in Poznań

From 3 to 6 June 2009, the 28th edition of the MEBLE fair will be held in Poznań. The largest furniture exposition in the Central and Eastern Europe has traditionally been the venue where the latest collections from a broad offer of national and foreign manufacturers are showcased. Bedroom, living room, study, kitchen and dining room furniture will all be presented at the trade show. Every year, inspiring interiors that reflect international trends in interior design are very popular with the public at the fair.

This year's edition will also include garden and tourist furniture, as well as a collection of antique furniture replicas along with rattan and wicker furniture. The BIURO exposition, presenting state-of-the-art standards in office and public building furnishings, will provide a wonderful addition to the offer. Last year, the furniture fair was attended by 400 exhibitors from 20 countries from all over the world.

This is already the third time furniture buyers from Poland, Western European markets and New Europe countries will visit the fair for the Hosted Buyers matchmaking programme. Meetings of prospective business partners pre-arranged by MTP are very popular both among exhibitors and professional visitors. The organisers make every effort to provide new business contacts to all participants and make this event a wonderful marketing decision, in particular in the times of economic downturn.

Apart from the latest collections of home and office furniture, fair visitors will surely be interested in parallel exhibitions presenting a comprehensive offer of complementary industries: from floor coverings and panels at the BUDMA INTERIOR fair to lighting and decor at the HOME DECOR show. This year, a special event entitled arena DESIGN, entirely dedicated to industrial design, will celebrate its first edition ever.

The goal behind the project is to create a high-profile meeting platform for the world of design and business, and to promote the best practices in Europe as regards furniture design and other areas of industrial design. The rich programme of arena DESIGN will include meetings with distinguished designers, discussion panels, presentations, exhibitions and competitions for designers and manufacturers.

As always during the Poznań trade fairs, industry discussions about the situation of the furniture industry in Poland will be held at all kinds of seminars and conferences. "Meble Plus" monthly will organise a series of panel discussions based on the results of the "Furniture Industry Mood Barometer". The award ceremony of the "Furniture Diamond" competition organised by meble.pl will also take place at the fair.
