Creativity And Business At The Chibidue Show

Even the choice of location – Hall 4 at fieramilanocity – is confirmation that ChibiDue increasingly wants to be characterised as a show dedicated to the fashion industry. It is a fact that after the demolition of the Fiera Milano urban complex, and while we are waiting for the Portello to begin its transformation into Europe's biggest conference centre (and after the undoubted success of the new Rho-Pero centre), the only shows left in the city centre are those tied to the fashion houses and showrooms of the "square mile". For this reason, ChibiDue – which as usual is playing the "cash & carry" combination with Chibimart-Summer Business – is relaunching itself as a business fair with a special focus on fashion trends. This year, the International Costume Jewellery, Fashion and Hair Accessories Show will be held from 15 to 18 May: a display case of trends and creativity where innovative bijoux can be admired together with all the various fashion accessories (hats, bags, scarves and belts, as well as lots of other "offbeat" articles) that will be the stars of the autumn season.

The on-going success of ChibiDue (which celebrates its 32nd edition in 2009), is easier than ever to explain nowadays – accessories are increasingly the symbols of trends, important finishing touches that emphasize and highlight individual style. They represent a renewed interest in the personal that translates into a young, vital market.

More than 150 exhibitors, a third of them from abroad – above all Asia - in a great 6 thousand square metre exhibition space are proof that the world of costume jewellery and fashion accessories has no borders and that this market is increasingly open to challenges, contamination and new ideas.

As usual, Chibimart-Summer Business will be held at the same time as Chibidue. This varied, multi-ethnic show, with its cash & carry formula, offers exciting suggestions, proposals and ideas about what will be the most original accessories for next summer. Here too, the products on display are costume jewellery, fashion accessories, semi-precious stones and ethnic articles).

The on-going growth of Chibimart is confirmation of how extraordinarily attractive the cash & carry formula is, allowing retailers to buy goods directly from the show, selecting the most trendy articles and saving on storage costs and money paid out in advance (as well as on costly mistakes due to the ill-timed or misguided prediction of trends).

As protagonists of an exciting event that always has fresh, original ideas to offer, these two appointments are more important than ever for discovering the styles and trends of a market which by its very nature, is creative and changeable.
