4th Police Conference on Security Systems at Large Scale Events

170 Polish and international companies will present the latest in technology and equipment for the police services at the EUROPOLTECH 2009 International Fair of Technology and Equipment for the Police and National Security Services, which begins on April 22 in Warsaw, Poland. Poland's Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior and Administration Grzegorz Schetyna has Honorary Auspices over the event. Organised by the Gdańsk International Fair Co. (MTG SA) in close partnership with the General Headquarters of the Polish Police, this highly specialised trade exhibition accompanies the 4th International Police Conference on Security Systems at Large Scale Events. The conference topics will include the principles of eliminating threats at large scale events in view of the draft act on large scale event security, currently under development. The Fair will continue until Friday, April 24.

The EUROPOLTECH exhibition will bring together the latest in global technology and equipment.

Experts from all the services will have an opportunity to view a large number of advanced technological tools used in operations, forensics, communications, ICT, facility security and personal protection, rescue, border control, traffic control, as well as equipment and weaponry for the Special Operations Command (DWS), the Military Gendarmerie (ŻW) and counter-terrorist units.

Unique solutions and equipment will be presented at a special exhibition of the Polish Technological Platform for Homeland Security.
EUROPOLTECH will include a first-time presentation of the results of selected and heretofore confidential research and development - the Police's future tools of the trade.

The Fair will feature the first public presentation of the new uniform of the Polish Police, including the signing of the Minister's Regulation on the introduction of new uniform designs.

The uniform has been designed with attention to the ergonometrics of a police officer's work and with the use of state-of-the-art materials. The new uniforms will be presented throughout the Fair, including at the stand of the Polish Police General Headquarters.

The EUROPOLTECH organisers have also prepared a special promotion programme: SUPERMODERN 2009.

The programme's mission is to promote products of the greatest usefulness to the police and national security services, which feature novel technical solutions and unique operational qualities. Products which meet these expectations will be selected by the EUROPOLTECH Programme Council and will receive the SUPERMODERN Statuette Award. Exhibits entered for the Programme are displayed at a special exhibition organised as part of EUROPOLTECH. The third day of the Fair will see a science and technology conference on High-Tech ICT Solutions for Police Services organised in partnership with the Polish Police General Headquarters Communications and IT Bureau.
