Baucon Yapex Defies The Economic Crisis

BAUCON YAPEX, International Trade Fair for Building Materials, Construction Technology and Building Renovation, takes place in Antalya, Turkey. This year it is being held from 22 to 25 October 2009, at the Antalya Expo Center. Over 300 international exhibitors are expected to attend, among them industry leaders ready to make the most of this advantageous location as a bridge to the eastern Mediterranean and the Middle East. Throughout the region there is an exceptionally high level of demand for building materials and construction technology of all kinds, and for corresponding specialist products and technology.

For the whole of Turkey and in particular for the region of Antalya, there are further official expansion plans, for example, in the tourism sector. Priority is being given to the construction of new tourist centres, above all in the region of Antalya, and to the construction of many public buildings.

In a special exhibition entitled 'SOLAR POWER', the 2009 event will cater to the potential in the sun-blessed Mediterranean countries and the whole of the Middle East for exploiting solar energy. Interest in and demand for new solar-energy systems and sophisticated solar technology is high, not least because of the new laws and regulations introduced by the Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources of Turkey, which is providing strong support for the private generation of electrical energy through solar systems.

The specialist trade fair BAUCON YAPEX can look back on fifteen years of success – with exhibitor and visitor numbers rising constantly over that period. Last year, for example, over 320 exhibitors and around 27,000 visitors took part in the fair, among them architects, engineers, building companies and investors in the tourist sector. Because of good prospects for business success in the sector, BAUCON YAPEX 2009 is poised to further expand its significance as an international gathering for the construction sector.

For European firms, it is increasingly becoming a springboard to a lucrative market, thanks to the traditionally excellent relations.
