Designbuild 2009: Rebuilt, Renewed, And Revitalised

Designbuild will be returning to the Sydney Convention and Exhibition Centre, 21 – 23 May 2009, to unveil a new and totally rebranded trade exhibition for the building, architecture and plumbing industries. In response to recent industry developments, Designbuild's newly remodelled show will feature a greater emphasis on Australian and European building products and include a range of innovative and interactive initiatives designed to engage trade audiences and encourage visitor participation.

Newly appointed Exhibition Director for Designbuild 2009, Danielle Fischer has revamped the program and exhibition floor to reflect the needs of the market and ensure a more relevant and focused industry event.

"Following feedback from 2008, we have focused effort into ensuring Designbuild 2009 is not only a more relevant exhibition but also a hands-on and interactive experience which allows exhibitors and visitors to engage with products and understand their applications, " said Danielle Fischer, Exhibition Director, Diversified Exhibitions Australia.

In 2009, Australia's premier exhibition for the building and construction industry will introduce a range of new features designed to inspire, educate and facilitate exhibition visitors. Innovation Alley is an exciting new space aimed at drawing crowds to a combined display of exhibitor products.

Innovation Alley will showcase the latest and most innovative products from both Australian and International markets in one dedicated location.

Other new features include The Do It Yourself Zone, a space where visitors can try and test the latest tools on the market in a variety of real work scenarios; Applications in Action, a space aiming to educate audiences with live demonstrations by industry professionals and The Builder's Bar, a networking hub, providing a relaxed yet stylish environment for exhibitors and their customers to network and do business.

The new initiatives will complement DesignBuild's existing features including the National Plumbing Show, the Green Building Zone and Designbuild Seminar Series, as well as key product areas Windows and Glass; Finishes and Services; Building Materials and Outdoor Living.

"Designbuild 2009 will provide the perfect opportunity for builders, architects and plumbers to rediscover their target markets and secure strong leads with some of the most influential members of the Australian building industry. It will be the place where key decision makers meet face to face and do business." said Fischer.
