Key to Success of Bangkok RHVAC 2009 and Bangkok E&E 2009

Thailand's public and private sectors expressed confidence that stronger synergy will play a big role in the success of two major trade fairs – Bangkok RHVAC 2009 and Bangkok E&E 2009 – which is scheduled to take place from October 7-11, 2009, at Impact Muang Thong Thani. Manufacturers in the air-conditioning and refrigeration industry, as well as the electric and electronics industry are strongly encouraged to showcase their products and capabilities at these major events as both the government and private sectors are convinced that these industries will remain robust performers despite the current global financial crisis.

Commenting on efforts to cope with the adverse global financial climate, Mr. Rachane Potjanasuntorn, Director-General of the Department of Export Promotion (DEP), Ministry of Commerce, said: "The DEP and private sectors in the RHVAC and electrical and electronic industries will cooperate to acquire trade information and set strategic plans to penetrate new potential markets such as the Middle East, Latin America and South Africa."

The fact that the two events are being held simultaneously at the same venue will increase exposure for all the exhibitors, while generating greater interest from potential buyers – both local and international – and general visitors.

Expressing his confidence in the industry's readiness to overcome the effects of tighter financial constraints, Mr. Arnon Simakulthorn, Advisor and Director of the Air-Conditioning and Refrigeration Club, the Federation of Thai Industries, revealed: "Customer service, catering to every need in product design, quality, flexible order options with prompt and punctual delivery, and global standardized products have increased Thailand's competitive edge in the global market."

Mr. Arnon added: "The financial crisis and decreased oil prices have resulted in falling demand in some of our major markets. Therefore, we will concentrate more on the local market while scrutinizing – and where feasible, making the most of – local, regional and international business opportunities related to rising temperatures caused by global warming."

Speaking on behalf of the electrical and electronics industry, Electrical, Electronics and Allied Industries Club Chairman Dr. Katiya Greigarn outlined the roadmap that would help alleviate the effects of the financial turmoil: "Thai manufacturers have adapted their strategies to focus on finding new potential overseas markets, such as India, the ASEAN region, the Middle East and Africa, to offset declining orders from major export markets. The quality and durability of Thai products, coupled with quick and punctual delivery as well as innovative designs, will go a long way to raising our credibility with customers worldwide."

To attract potential buyers from around the world and to help boost exports of both key industries, the DEP in cooperation with the private sector will organize Bangkok Refrigeration, Heating, Ventilation and Air-Conditioning 2009 (Bangkok RHVAC 2009) and Bangkok Electric and Electronic 2009 (Bangkok E&E 2009) from October 7-11 at Impact Muang Thong Thani. The trade show will be open to trade visitors from October 7-9 and to public visitors on October 10 and11.

With the theme "Eco-Friendly Solutions For A Sustainable Future", Bangkok RHVAC 2009 will feature the industry's entire spectrum of products, capabilities and services covering air-conditioning, refrigeration and assembly, as well as related services and businesses. The fair is expected to attract over 7,500 trade visitors from the ASEAN region, South Asia, the Middle East, China, Japan, Latin America and the European Union, as well as 12,000 visitors on public days.

To illustrate how people can green their routine, Bangkok E&E 2009 has as its theme "Save Energy = Save The World". Showcasing a wide range of energy-saving and eco-friendly innovations and technologies, organizers aim to draw over 5,200 buyers on trade days and 12,000 general visitors on public days.
