Good Style Of Doing Business

Retails analysts have noticed that Poles are spending money on clothes and footwear more readily than in the past, thus enabling a rapid growth of these market segments. Currently the value of clothes and footwear market is estimated at PLN 29 bn. According to PMR analysts' forecast, in 2009 this value will increase to PLN 32.5 bn. At the same time, economic situation in Europe encourages Polish manufacturers and exporters to diversify their potential markets, i.e. extend their consumers to include the so-called emerging markets, characterised by high dynamics of economic growth and demand.

Participation in Contracting Exhibitions: Next Season, Body Style, Special Days and the accompanying Trade Fair of Fabrics, Clothing and Accessories TEX-STYLE, which will take place in Poznań, 3–5 March 2009, will certainly create an opportunity to extend business contacts.

Contracting Exhibitions: Next Season, Body Style and Special Days are the essence of a professional trade fair. They allow you to use your time effectively to learn about many different complimentary collections and to place orders. They are the venue for individual business talks, a platform for exchanging the information about the industry and planning the production for the forthcoming year. Participation in the Contracting Exhibitions is also a marketing investment in promoting the latest collections, reinforcing brand and company image.

"The Contracting Exhibition is a hospitable place, to which our exhibitors can invite current and prospective business partners, in order to present the latest ready-to-wear collection in favourable surroundings. We guarantee maximum comfort of exhibitions to the participants. The exhibitors may use ready-made stands together with equipment, free invitations authorizing their clients to enter the Trade Fair area and catering in the pavilion. Also, the exhibitors can benefit from our assistance in booking accommodation and recruiting staff, particularly models for the time of the exhibition. Moreover, they can take advantage of the offer of showcasing on a professional catwalk, " says Elżbieta Roeske, Director of Next Season, Body Style and Special Days exhibitions.

In March 2009, participants of Next Season, Body Style and Special Days will contract women's, men's and children's clothes collections, underwear, beach, occasional clothes and accessories for the 2009/2010 autumn/winter season.

Tex-Style – source of cooperation

Tex-Style Trade Fair are consistently heading towards a contracting formula which will bring together manufacturers and importers of fabrics and clothing accessories as well as garment manufacture subcontractors. As part of Tex-Style trade fair, the company Strima ran the contracting in autumn 2008. The Trade Fair organizers hope that the idea of professional business meetings for companies offering components for clothing manufacture will generate considerable interest, also due to proximity of Contracting Exhibitions featuring manufacturers of ready-to-wear clothes .

Tex-Style also encourage the promotion of young and promising designers, helping them to rise in the industry. Each year there are about 1000 graduates of studies for designers; after a year, 10% of them work in their profession, after 10 years – a mere 1%. Tex-Style fair organizers make their effort to change these proportions. In the March edition of the trade fair, the Future project will reappear, comprising presentations at the stands and fashion shows prepared by designers who make their debut.

The space is dedicated to people who are starting their professional career in the fashion industry and will definitely provide a fresh look at fashion trends, but first of all it gives an opportunity for establishing the cooperation between the designer and the manufacturer. Nawigator Mody (Fashon Navigator), a trend forum, will also feature works by young designers. The central element of this programme will be seminars and training on trade and marketing. Wolfgang Gruschwitz, a guru of Visual Merchandising, is among those who announced their visit. Grinschwitz worked for such brands as Coca Cola, Zara, Red Bull and Högl Shoe.

BTS - Fair of Shoes, Leather and Leather Goods

The Fair of Shoes, Leather and Leather Goods organised by the Poznań International Fair changes its spring edition's dates, acquires a modern name and a refined formula.

"BTS – a new, shorter name of the Fair of Shoes, Leather and Leather Goods will contribute to the easier identification of that most important meeting of the footwear and leather apparel industry in Poland. Two thematic areas will be separated in the scope of the new fair: Trend – the place for the presentation of new collections of footwear as well as leather apparel and accessories and Tech – focused on leather, shoemaking and leather-working supplies and accessories as well as the machinery and technology for the industry, " recommends Edyta Bonin-Kanikowska, director of the BTS Fair.
