The AIIM Expo + Conference: Reduce Risk and Focus on Compliance

Complying with an eDiscovery request can be an expensive and time consuming exercise. At the AIIM Expo + Conference, being held at the Pennsylvania Convention Center from March 30 - April 2, legal experts will provide insight and guidance to information management professionals for ways to proactively manage data enterprise information.

"The ever-increasing volume of information and records created and stored in electronic form creates a growing need for automated and flexible systems designed to improve litigation defensibility and response, " said Tom Bliss, Group Conference Director, Questex Media, producers of the event. "Attendance at the AIIM Expo + Conference gives legal and information management professionals the guidance they need to manage exposure, optimize response and minimize the expense associated with compliance, " Bliss added.

In his annual state of the industry address on Tuesday, March 31, AIIM President John Mancini will discuss the intersection between collaboration and security concerns within organizations. As core document, content, and records management technologies move to the mainstream, there are many new collaborative tools to empower employees to create, publish, and distribute information. Colliding with this trend are increasing compliance and legal demands to control critical and sensitive content and information. Mancini's presentation will cover how organizations are addressing these conflicting forces.

In addition, educational session presentations from companies such as Ropes & Gray, Reed Smith, Boehringer Ingelheim, Fulbright & Jaworski, Ernst & Young and Cohen Mohr LLP will provide actionable real-world insight and solutions that attendees can relate to and apply to their own business situations.

"In today's challenging economy, no organization wants or can afford to be caught unprepared. The costs and risks are simply too high, " added Bliss. "The IT and business professionals who attend the AIIM Expo + Conference will learn how to build bullet-proof records and information management policies and processes to make sure they're ready for whatever lies ahead."
