A Event Dedicated To Wine, Spumante & Champagne Debuts At Rimini
´DiVino Lounge - wine, food and more´: this is the highly effective name of the new section dedicated to Bacchus´ nectar that will debut at Rimini Fiera from 14th to 17th February 2009, during the largest show dedicated to food & beverage, the leading B2B event for the Ho.Re.Ca. trade, which in Italy alone boasts a turnover of 65.7 billion euros (source: Nomisma for Rimini Fiera) and is still increasing. Patrizia Cecchi, manager of Rimini Fiera´s Business Unit 1, explains, ´Thanks to this interaction, Rimini Fiera has become the showcase par excellence for meals eaten out and, particularly as far as the beverage sector is concerned, has asserted its role as an appointment that´s a must for wholesalers, distributors and importers, but also for owners of night venues and public venues.´
Orietta Foschi, project manager of the Rimini Fiera food & beverage expos, explains: ´DiVino Lounge will be a new section dedicated to wine, spumante and champagne, which is meeting with interested feedback, thanks also to its highly innovative format. In fact, four areas are foreseen: wine, with guided tasting sessions in collaboration with the AIS (Italian Sommelier Association). In particular, on Monday 16th February, there will be a tasting session of the ´five bunch´ winner of Duemilavini/09; food, with wine and water lists to mix and match with gourmet food; forum, with round tables and in-depth cultural events; business, with a welcome area for business meetings with foreign and Italian buyers and Internet points for online sales. DiVino Lounge will therefore be a privileged meeting point for manufacturers and producers with sommeliers, restaurateurs and chefs.´
In particular, in the food area, well known architect Luca Scacchetti will set up a stylish restaurant where mixes and matches with food will be proposed. The area´s sponsors are Surgital and Emilia-Romagna Regional Government; wine list by the Enoteca regionale di Dozza. Chefs taking part are Vincenzo Cammerucci, Raffaele Liuzzi and Luigi Sartini. The companies taking part are of the calibre of: Montresor, La Scolca/Dodi, Carpené Malvolti, Chiarli e Champagne Marie Stuart, Marco de Bartoli, Le Vigne di San Pietro, Le Favole Vignaiuoli, Due Tigli, Angelo Fiume, Arunda Vivaldi, Terre de la Custodia, Berebene and Vinicola Serena, just to mention those who have already registered, as well as two institutions that have always aimed - rightly - at promoting their vineyards´ products, as they are market leaders as far as both quality and excellence are concerned: Sicily and Marches Regional governments (the latter with the participation of the chefs of Marca, 33 top restaurants).
DiVino Lounge (located Hall A1) is organized by Rimini Fiera and La Madia Travelfood, in collaboration with the AIS and the Worldwide Sommelier Association and addresses sommelier, chefs working with wine, owners and managers of bars, disco bars, wine shops, clubs and night clubs, owners, managers and trade members in the food service, catering and restaurant trade, beverage distributors, wholesalers specialized in import/export, wine bars and specialized stores, trade press and associations.
