| Syria Became The Guest Country Of Emitt 2009 During the EMITT Fair, Syria attending as a "Guest Country" will perform various activities involving consumers/vacationers and professionals-oriented. It was revealed that, apart from all the participant countries, Syria will be presented at all points especially to travel agencies and tourists. It was also announced that during the fair, Syria will inform the investors by showcasing opportunities in that country for tourism investors. The rapidly growing good relations between Turkey and Syria reflected also in the tourism. Syria decided to participate in the EMITT Fair as a "Guest Country" that will be held from February 12th to15th, 2009 in Istanbul-TUYAP. Lastly, Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan's one-day visit to Syria and conversation with Syria's President, Bashar al-Assad, which has come true within the last week, presented another turning point in relations between the two countries that was developing for some time.
