Ispo Launches Quality Offensive
The organizers of ispo winter 2009, Messe München GmbH, will launch a quality level offensive in regards to the evaluation of visitor statistics. The goal is to generate even more accurate numbers on trade visitor frequency and quality at the world's largest sporting goods trade show. This quality offensive is based on a modified access system which will be launched for the first time at the upcoming ispo, held from February 1st to the 4th, 2009, at the New Munich Trade Fair. In addition to a new pricing structure, the improvements include personalization of all access passes, including those issued to exhibitors. This modification will allow Messe München GmbH's personnel to generate accurate retracking scans of booth visitors. Furthermore, the improved system will reduce the possibility of unauthorized use of exhibitor tickets, ensuring that visitors are not registered as exhibit personnel, and therefore avoid incorrect statistics.
Following online registration of personal data, access passes for exhibitors and visitors can easily be ordered at the ispo website. Upon presentation of the voucher which will be sent by email, the tickets will be printed at scanner locations at the trade show entrances. Tickets will no longer be mailed out.
The new pricing system will also take into account online and box office sales. In order to attract more visitors to the trade show and to encourage repeat visits, tickets ordered online will be sold at a very attractive discounted pre-sale rate (VVK). Those who pre-purchase their access pass online can do so e.g. for 10 Euro for a retail day ticket, while the same ticket will cost 40 Euro if purchased at the box office on the day of the visit. Exhibitors wishing to invite their customers to the ispo will be able to do so with the help of a Visitor Voucher/ E-Visitor Voucher.
The former guest pass is only 10 Euro, charged to the exhibitor only if the voucher is actually redeemed. The Visitor Voucher is valid only for trade visitors. To offer exhibitors an attractive option for a day at the show, the day ticket for exhibitors can be re-activated online for a charge of 15 Euro. Exhibitors will also receive considerable discounts when planning their booth personnel in advance: the cost for a full event pass for each additional staff member not included in the exhibitor booth price (depending on booth size) is 35 Euro if purchased online, or 60 Euro per person, if purchased at the event.
