Triestespresso Expo 2008: Record-Edition
The forth edition of the International TriestEspresso Expo (13-15 November, Fiera Trieste) has grown in quality and quantity and has been confirmed as an international showcase within the coffee market. The event has been organized by Fiera Trieste S.p.a., in association with Associazione Caffé Trieste (Trieste Coffee Association) and the contribution of Trieste Chamber of Commerce and Fondazione CrTrieste. The fair has recorded the presence of the world leading coffee experts who, during the three-day long exhibition, have done business for a value of millions of euros. The final data of this edition will be shown during a press conference on Thursday November 20th.
The exhibitors were 209 from 26 different countries. The tickets bought by the exhibitors were 20,000. The presence of foreign visitors has sharply increased from the 2006 edition. The data of this successful edition had already been foreseen by the 15% growth in foreign exhibitors' presence compared to the previous edition. 100 Italian and foreign journalists attended the expo. "The success we were waiting has come", says Fulvio Bronzi, and he adds: "our goals in terms of visitors, foreign attendees and exhibition area increase, have been fully achieved. Exhibitors have already confirmed their participation.
Vincenzo Sandalj adds: "This edition of TriestEspresso has been a great success. The coffee sector has demonstrated to be able to withstand the financial crisis by means of satisfactory results. Among all the Italian trade fairs within this sector, TriestEspresso Expo has been reconfirmed as the most international one. All exhibitors are satisfied and the numbers of visitors are said to rise in the next edition. The growth in the foreign visitors's presence has gone beyond all our best expectations."
The fourth edition of the International TriestEspresso Expo (13-15 November at Fiera Trieste) has seen a rise in both quality and quantity, further confirming the event as the leading international showcase for the market. The trade fair – organised by Fiera Trieste Spa, in collaboration with the Associazione Caffè Trieste and with support from the Trieste Chamber of Commerce and the Fondazione CrTrieste – brought the world's leading operators in this "green bean" to the city: over the fair's three days, business deals worth millions of Euros were concluded.
