A Promising Jewellery Market Platform in Macau

Following its debut in 2008, Macau Jewellery & Watch Fair will be held at Halls D & E of the Cotai Strip Convention and Exhibition Center at The Venetian Macao from 8 to 11 January 2009. The Fair, as a major new marketplace for all sectors of the global jewellery industry, is Asia's first and only international trade event for the jewellery industry to be held at the beginning of the year.

Over 400 exhibitors from 19 countries and regions, occupying over 18,000 square metres of exhibition space will be on display with a wide range of jewellery products of the highest quality, including antique & estate jewellery, fine jewellery, finished jewellery, silver jewellery, diamonds, gemstones and pearls, technology and related products and services. January has always been regarded as the perfect buying season for the jewellery business. In addition, the mild climate in Macau, compared with the adverse weather in Europe, creates a convenient environment for both exhibitors and visitors to conduct business at the Fair.

One of the highlights of the Fair is the Fine Design Pavilion, comprising over 60 booths presented by renowned jewellery houses, high-end jewellers and private collectors from all over the world. The Fine Design Pavilion is an exquisite display of the world's finest jewellery and invaluable pieces, offering a precious opportunity for jewellers to witness an elegant presentation under one luxurious roof, making the Fine Design Pavilion something truly exceptional where visitors cannot resist lingering.
Largest-ever Display of Diamonds in Macau

Over 120 leading diamond trade exhibitors from 6 countries and regions will exhibit in the Diamond Pavilion including Antwerp, Hong Kong, India, Israel, Thailand and United States, located in Hall D, will display a wide spectrum of high-quality polished diamonds in white and fancy colours and different price ranges from which the world's jewellery trade buyers can choose.

In addition, over 100 diamond jewellery manufacturers will showcase a dazzling array of glamour and splendid pieces, making the Macau Jewellery & Watch Fair by far the biggest diamond trade event in Macau.

"Macau is recognized as the Las Vegas of Asia. Other than Hong Kong, Macau is also a free port, imposing no import or export duties or tariffs on goods and services for the jewellery traders. We believe that the Macau Jewellery & Watch Fair will enhance Asia's leading position in the international jewellery business, " said Celine Lau, Director of Jewellery Fairs, CMP Asia.
