Motor Trend Auto Shows To Debut International Auto Show

Motor Trend Auto Shows, LLC, the nation's largest auto show producer and part of the Source Interlink Companies, Inc. (NASDAQ: SORC), is debuting its consumer-friendly international auto show at the Capital City Convention Center in Jackson, Mississippi from January 23-25, 2009. The first-ever Mississippi International Auto Show is being produced by Motor Trend Auto Shows in conjunction with the Mississippi Automobile Dealers' Association and is scheduled to be the very first event at the state capital's new convention center.

"Making its first appearance ever in the state of Mississippi, the Mississippi International Auto Show has stirred up real excitement and great anticipation from Jacksonians, and our neighbors in surrounding areas. People are already inquiring about tickets, schedules and activities. The response has been phenomenal, " said Linda McCarthy, general manager, Jackson Convention Complex/SMG. "SMG is pleased to have secured such a coveted show of this magnitude for the Jackson market. It's sure to have a great impact on our local hotels, restaurants and retailers. And, after coming to Jackson, we're sure that the Mississippi International Auto Show will want to come back."

Early manufacturer response to the show has been very positive and several makes including Toyota, Honda and Acura, are already committed to bring new products and exciting displays to the show. Visitors can expect to see the latest vehicles from many domestic and import manufacturers, all ready for the public to check out, compare and try on for size.

Noel Daniels, vice president variable operations, Gray-Daniels Auto Family, is also pleased to see an auto show coming to Mississippi. "Our dealerships are fully behind the show and we look forward to not only participating, but helping to create added excitement for our industry, " Daniels said. "This show has been a long time coming."

The auto show will feature a collection of exciting new-model and pre-production vehicles, concept cars, specialty vehicle displays, alternative fuel vehicles and family-style entertainment. Whether in the market for fuel-efficiency and hybrid technology, or horsepower and customizing, the show offers something for everyone. Attendees are encouraged to sit in the cars, inspect under the hoods and even test drive select cars, all in a non-selling, no pressure environment.

"We are pleased to announce the opportunity for manufacturers to host ride and drives at the show, " said Lisa Gelb, executive director of marketing and sales for Motor Trend Auto Shows. "Auto show ride and drives offer a plus for the public by enabling them to get a feel for select models in a relaxed environment. This interactive experience is a big hit because it not only saves the step of driving to a dealership for a test drive, but is key in the decision making process as attendees narrow down their choices for a new vehicle at the show."

The Mississippi International Auto Show will be presented by the Mississippi Automobile Dealers' Association and is produced by Motor Trend Auto Shows, LLC. The show will be held at the Jackson Convention Complex from January 23 – 25, 2009 and is open to the public Friday and Saturday from 10 a.m. - 9 p.m. and Sunday from 10 a.m. - 6 p.m.
