First-time IH/M&RS Exhibitors To Add New Dimension To Show

More than 200 first-time exhibitors will set the stage for a new and fresh vibe at the 93rd annual International Hotel/Motel & Restaurant Show (IH/M&RS), taking place November 8-11, 2008, at New York City's Jacob K. Javits Convention Center. More than 35,000 industry decision-makers will not only discover new innovations from long-standing exhibitors, but will be introduced to hundreds of products and resources from companies never before seen at this market. The total market experience will feature 1, 250 exhibitors.

"Presenting attendees with everything new for the industry is what this Show is all about, whether those resources come from returning exhibitors or companies showcasing for the first time at IH/M&RS, " said Lynn White, show manager. "This year, we are pleased to present a strong slate of first-time exhibitors across every product category, assuring that 'new' remains the dominant theme of this exhibition."

Among the group of first-time IH/M&RS exhibitors, Richloom will introduce r bed – a design-forward bedding ensemble specifically for the hospitality industry that includes duvet, bed shams, bed scarves, blankets and decorative pillows. Adding an element of elegance to the market, Richard Ginori 1735 Inc. will showcase its high-end tabletop collection and crystal. Bellora Hospitality, specializing in luxury linens for 4- and 5-star properties, will debut its sheets, duvet covers, robes and more at the 2008 IH/M&RS. WestPoint Home will exhibit for the first time this year to introduce its complete line of linens in a full range of styles and price points, currently used in one out of every three hotel rooms nationwide.

With eco-friendly products on the list of nearly every buyer, several first-time exhibitors will introduce new "green" products to the market. Valley Forge will take green luxury to a new level with high thread count bedding made from 100 percent recycled polyester. Ultra Green will introduce its full line of paper products for both lodging and restaurant operations, including sustainable and biodegradable plates, cups, bowls, tableware, tissue and towels.

PureZone Technologies will showcase the first air purification system clinically proven to reduce nighttime allergy symptoms, validated in hotel trials as an effective measure to assure guests are getting a quality night's sleep. In addition, mysmartpac will introduce a convenient, eco-friendly personal amenity kit for guests that will allow them to save luggage space and avoid newly-imposed airline fees for excess baggage and weight. A complete list of exhibitors is available online, at www.ihmrs.com.

In addition to new exhibitors with a product focus, the 2008 IH/M&RS also has attracted select franchise companies and hospitality groups for the first time. Apollo Hospitality Group will exhibit to introduce its design, purchasing, construction and asset consulting services. In addition, Atlanta-based NYLO Hotels will exhibit for the first time to showcase its new class of upscale and full service hotels that combine the dynamic qualities of urban residential loft-style living with best-of-the-industry features of leading hotel brands.

The 93rd annual International Hotel/Motel & Restaurant Show will run Saturday, November 8, through Tuesday, November 11, 2008, at New York City's Jacob K. Javits Convention Center. Following a full-day of conference and networking activities on Saturday, November 8, the IH/M&RS will feature three full days of exhibits from Sunday, November 9, through Tuesday, November 11. The market presents some 1, 250 hospitality industry suppliers and attracts approximately 35,000 in total trade attendance.
