The world's largest used printing machinery exhibition, UPEX, is coming to Print World 2008 on November 22-24 in Toronto, Ontario.
UPEX is an international marketplace for pre-owned printing equipment, connecting buyers and sellers of second-hand printing machinery across the world. It has been featured at international shows including IPEX in Birmingham, England, IPEX South Asia in New Delhi, India and Gulf Print in Dubai, UAE.
In November 2008, UPEX comes to North America for the very first time as a special feature at Print World, the gateway to the North American print market. North American printers buy over 3.5 billion dollars (£2 billion) in equipment and supplies each year. Over 50, 000 plants are located in Canada and the United States. As Canada's largest metropolitan area (5 million+), Toronto also boasts more printers per capita than anywhere else in North America.
Print World's UPEX pavilion will attract leading exhibitors. England's Nyland Graphics, SM Graphics and Atlas Machinery (UK) are already contracted with more expected. Other major exhibitors booked for Print World include Heidelberg, Xerox, Canon, Presstek, Fujifilm, GBC, Hewlett-Packard, Konica Minolta, Gandinnovations, Agfa, Ricoh, and Epson, with over 200 expected.
Print World occupies 125,000 sq. ft (11,600 m2) at Toronto's most modern trade show facility, the Direct Energy Centre on the Exhibition Place grounds near downtown Toronto. More than 10,000 industry representatives attended the last show in 2006 and are expected again at Print World 2008.
