ISC East 2008

Northeast security professionals looking to enhance their knowledge and skills for both personal and professional gain will find the upcoming ISC East (October 29-30, Jacob Javits Center, New York) well worth their time.

The ISC Education program will be presented over the course of the two-day ISC East show and will include specific curricula for each day. Day One (Oct. 29th) will feature IP Institute Convergence program and Day Two will focus on "Enterprise Security Management" topics and will feature interactive panel discussions with industry leaders.

This year's program marks the return and enrichment of the IP Institute. On Oct. 29th from 8:00 am 5:00 pm, the IP Institute program will provide in-depth IP Convergence training on a completely integrated security system design, development and implementation of a single, seamless IP-based security solution that fully integrates core physical security products and solutions. Participants in the courses receive accreditation and the designation of PSNA (Professional Security Network Associate) upon successful completion of the course. CD manuals with reference materials, certificates and continental breakfast and boxed lunch are all included in the fee. Lending support for the IP Institute this year are Axis Communications, Hirsh Electronics, Milestone, Pixim.

ISC Education presents an all-day "Enterprise Security Management" program on Oct. 30th 10:00 am 4:00 pm. The program features topics and information focusing on multi-level convergence that is already occurring in logical security between IT, data, video, access control and integrated components. The panel discussions are presented by today's leading authorities and represent the Open Security Exchange (OSE), software companies, consultants, business development entities and end-user companies.

This full-day program will take a look at the future and scope of integrated systems and the challenges facing IT/IP Data Management. Panel discussions will include Convergence's Impact on the Security Market; Physical Security Information Management and Integrated Physical/Logical Access Control. "Big picture, " overview sessions are targeted for security management professionals while other sessions present tactical concepts for security practitioners."
