Cycle Show-2008

The UK's Cycle show opens at London's Earls Court, with a star studded cast, plus the chance to try out the latest bikes both on and off road. Recently crowned World Champion Nicole Cooke will be on hand on Sunday to promote her new book and talk about winning Olympic Gold in China, while other Gold Medallists from Beijing will also be at the show. World, Commonwealth and Olympic champion Paul Manning will be at the show on Saturday, along with Darren Kenny, who took a staggering four Gold Medals on the road and track at the recent Paralympic Games, and Paul Goodison, one of the best and most exciting sailors of his generation, and a Gold Medallist in the Laser Class.

Other celebrities coming along to Cycle 2008 include World BMX and Track Champion Shanaze Reade, former Tour de France yellow jersey David Millar, and multiple mountain bike champions the Atherton's, with Dan, Gee and Rachel all appearing at the Show.

If that line up gets you inspired to compete, then the Jim Walker Duathlon returns while the Interactive Trials feature will allow you to learn some new skills from the masters of trials riding.

If you're thinking of cashing in and turning to commuting to work by bike, then the show is a must as you can sample all the latest commuter and folding bikes on the Commuter Test Track, while if off road is more your thing, then head to the Volvo/Tirol Mountain Bike Test Track, where a specially built course using a combination of dirt and north shore structures will allow you to experience the latest innovations in the next generation of mountain bikes first hand.

Children aren't left out either, with the Kids Test Track providing a fun, safe and educational way for the under 6s to try out the latest range of bikes, with fully qualified instructors on hand to provide advice.

The show opens to the public from Friday 10th to Sunday 12th October.
