The HTE-Hi.Tech.Expo 2008

The HTE-Hi.Tech.Expo 2008 will be held in Italy for the first time from 25 to 28 November 2008. The exhibition will incorporate seven trade fairs and will be dedicated in its entirety to advanced solutions and technology for research, science and industry with a special focus on energy.

The event is organized by Artenergy Publishing and will take place at Milan Fair (Rho). It will host companies that specialize in technology and equipment for the photovoltaic, vacuum, coating, photonic, nanotechnology, hydrogen and fuel cell, electric storage and superconductor industries.

The great interest shown in the Exhibition revolves around the fact that HTE-Hi.Tech.Expo 2008 is the venue where the worlds of research and industry come together because of the concrete opportunities for applying the technological innovations on show.

"All the most advanced technologies under the same roof at the same time. This is HTE's innovative formula - says the CEO of Artenergy Publishing, Marco Pinetti - an event that hosts seven complementary, trade shows displaying the very best of what Italian and international industries have to offer in terms of systems, machinery, technology, equipment and services. The sectors involved offer invaluable opportunities for the development of applied research and the industry itself in the immediate future - Pinetti continues - Made in Italy is here and now, it is made of ideas and highly sophisticated technological applications that few people know about. HTE is the ideal platform for displaying the production levels and the research into advanced technologies that are a daily reality here too in Italy".

HTE will have approximately 15, 000 m2 of exhibition space and will be sub-divided into seven fairs. PV Tech Milano 2008-5th International exhibition on the photovoltaic industry and technologies. VTE 2008 - Vacuum Tech & Coating Expo. 2nd International exhibition for the vacuum and coating industries. Photonica Expo 2008-1st International exhibition on photonics, laser, optoelectronics and optical technology. Nano Future Expo 2008-1st International exhibition on nanotechnologies. Hydrogen Show 2008-7th International exhibition on hydrogen and fuel cells. BEST 2008 - Batteries & Electric Storage Technology. 1st International conference and exhibition on the electrical storage industry: innovative batteries, capacitors, and super-capacitors. Super Conductors Europe 2008. 1st International exhibition on superconductivity, superconductors and cryogenics for the production, storage and transport of energy

The HTE event is accompanied by a full program of meetings and conferences for all those wishing to meet the most influential specialists in their sectors.

The sessions will be held in parallel with the exhibition and will provide the perfect opportunity to obtain in-depth information about many differing themes. Each fair will have a series of ad-hoc conferences and presentations of case-histories that deal with key issues in its sector. Conference schedules and details about speakers can be seen at the HTE website (www.hitechexpo.eu).

The HTE event is a must for those interested in technological innovation applied to industrial production and for those wishing to update their knowledge so as to optimize and bring innovation to their work. All the key professionals using advanced technology for production purposes will be in attendance.

During the fair there will be a special project known as HTE - Research Produces Business. This will enable companies, researchers, universities and research centers to meet potential industrial partners to develop new products and technologies, establish license or production agreements or perhaps form joint ventures to better face increasingly competitive markets. For this very reason, researchers will be able to gain access to personalized and individual meetings with interested exhibiting companies. To have access to this service, download and complete the questionnaire from www.hitechexpo.eu.

As part of the event, there will also be a dedicated R&D Area. This will be an exhibition space devoted to the main players in Italian and foreign research: universities, spin-offs, post-graduate educational institutions, public and private research bodies and, science and technology parks. The R&D Area will offer high visibility and the opportunity of presenting solutions and services directly to the market.

In a market that is showing an increasing interest in all those technologies that allow truly innovative results to be achieved, HTE has taken the lead in providing an answer to the needs and requirements of sectors that are expanding rapidly in terms of both economics and production.

The following figures from differing sectors underline the market growth: Assosolare (the National Association of Photovoltaic Industries) estimate that in May 2008, the photovoltaic industry in Italy had a turnover of some 500 million euros. In the vacuum and coating sector in 2007, a total of 134 million euros was invested. Nanotechnology on the other hand, thanks to the fact that it can be utilized in numerous applications, has attracted the interest of a wide range of investments from industry: From the 370 million euros invested in 2004, the figure rose to 500 million euros in 2006 with growth in excess of 35%.
