Expomusic Is A Business And Public Success
The 24th Expomusic – International music traide fair was an absolute success. The event, which took place between 26th and 30th of September at expo centre Norte in Sao Paulo, Received more than 60 thousand people, Musucians, retailers, students and music fans, exceeding the expectations of both the public and the traide.
Stars such as Frejat, Lulu Santos, Chitãozinho & Chororó, Paula Lima, The Jordans, Edgar Scandurra, Kiko Loureiro, Lenine, Planta & Raiz, Pepeu Gomes, NXO, Shaman, Dr Sin, Detonautas, Andreas Kisser, Banda Almah, Kiko Loureiro, Maurício Leite, Silas Fernandes, Dead Fish, Sandro Haick, Joe Moghrabi, Lobão, Japinha, Tropa de Shock, Marcos de Ros, Mozart Mello, Celso Pixinga, Duca Belintani, Miguel Mega, Rafael Bittencourt, Carlos Trilha, Sonic Jr, Banda Hangar, Torture Squad, Robson Fernandes, the DJs Patife, Marcelo Galo, Felipe Paniago and André Blush were some of the attractions for the public which filled the fair for the five days of the event. The loudest Trio Elétrico in the country, light shows, cultural shows, as well as the diversity of musical instruments and the latest releases on the market enthralled and enchanted the visitors to the event.
The V Expomusic Fest revealed new talents and awarded first place to –."Nas Trilhas de Minas", by José V. Lima e Francisco Silva, in second place - "Brasileiro no Estrangeiro", by Eliseu Cruz da Cunha and in third place – "Viva, não entenda", by Gabriel Cavalcante Frasão. The best singer was Anselmo Mancini, with the song "Silêncio". The winners received trophies, musical instruments and money prizes. Other competitions promoted by exhibitors attracted many participants, such as the Guitar Battle, an "American Idol" with daily evaluations, and the Odery Modern Drummer, whose final will take place in November.
with the object of stimulating new business between exhibitors and visitors, Francal created the Commercial Representative Salon, where during the five days of the event more than 30% of the exhibitors hired new sales representatives.
For Abdala Jamil Abdala, the president of Francal, Expomusic 2007 was a great success because as well as stimulating new business and indicating the future sector tendencies, it consolidated itself, even more, as the most significant evet of the sector.
Synésio Batista da Costa, the president of Abemúsica, commented that the 24th edition of Expomusic exceeded expectations generating business to the tune of 60 million dollars, which represents 30% of the annual turnover expected for the sector.
