The Indian electronics industry is looking forward with great expectations to electronicIndia 2008 at the Bangalore International Exhibition Center (BIEC) from September 2 to 5, 2008. The trade fair for electronics components and electronics production on the Indian subcontinent is regarded as the main meeting-point for the industry and a favorite platform for exchanging views and information on the latest technological and market trends and establishing business contacts. Thanks to a strategic partnership with the Indian Printed Circuit Association (IPCA),Messe München International (organizer of the trade fair) is strengthening electronicIndia in the area of printed circuit board (PCB) technology: IPCA is aiming to attract 100 exhibitors to electronicIndia. A corresponding agreement was signed by Manmeet Sabarwal, Managing Director of MMI India Pvt. Ltd., and Anil Kumar, President of IPCA.

To date, IPCA Expo has been a separate internationally oriented trade and contact fair for the PCB industry. The participants are all the companies belonging to the Indian Printed Circuit Association and include manufacturers of printed circuit boards, suppliers of materials and equipment, EMS (electronic manufacturing services) suppliers, IC designers and manufacturers of electronics components.

IPCA Expo is now being integrated in electronicIndia 2008 with its own pavilion. Technical seminars on EMS, automobile electronics and PCB technologies are also planned along with certification programs of the "Electronics Designer Council of India" and a meeting of the "World Electronics Circuits Council (WECC)". Messe München International and IPCA are expecting that the entire event will be attended by around 20, 000 trade visitors and numerous business delegations from Germany, Singapore, China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Japan, USA and Europe.

In the Indian Printed Circuit Association Messe München International has found a strong regional partner for electronicIndia. In return, cooperation with the internationally renowned Munich trade fair company will open up the global electronics market to members of IPCA.
