Transport logistic China 2008

The third transport logistic China is set to be more successful than ever before: This International Exhibition for Logistics, Telematics and Transportation, which takes place from 17 to 19 June 2008 in Shanghai, will this year feature more exhibition space, more exhibitors and a significantly higher level of Chinese participation than before. In total around 430 companies will be exhibiting here in the Shanghai New International Expo Centre (SNIEC). The level of Chinese participation has risen strongly, by over 55 percent, and Chinese exhibitors will now be taking up one quarter of the total exhibition space.

"These figures show that transport logistic China has now established itself as the most important market place in China for the rising need for transport and logistics expertise, " said Eugen Egetenmeir, a member of the Management Board of Messe München. The companies presenting their innovations and services here in 2008 to the Chinese market come from 48 different countries; at the 2006 event, the figure was 33 nations. Belgium, Germany, the Netherlands, Spain and Russia will again present their expertise in the sector at national pavilions. And, for the first time, France, the Italian regions of Friaul and Veneto, and the Czech Republic, will also be putting on their own joint presentations, in the form of national pavilions.

Also experiencing substantial growth is Air Cargo China, a part of transport logistic China. This is now the biggest international display by the air cargo sector in Asia. Almost 70 of the world´s leading airlines and airports will be exhibiting at this exhibition. Air Cargo China 2008, like the overall figures for transport logistic China, has thus grown by over 50 percent when compared to last time these events were held in 2006.

On 18 and 19 June Air Cargo China is accompanied by a two-day trade conference at which well known experts will be talking about the latest developments and trends in the air cargo sector in Asia. transport logistic China also offers a three-day conference program, including a German-Chinese Symposium and insights into the Chinese and Korean transport and logistics market. A further theme is the old trading route, the 'Silk Road', where debate will focus on whether a modern version of this route can offer an alternative to the Trans-Siberian Railway.
