IT Profits 4.0 a Showroom For IT Solutions From The Federal States

Messe Berlin is expanding the IT trade fair IT Profits, transforming it into the main trading venue for internet and communications solutions, and solutions for business customers from the new federal States. This concept by the team organising the Berlin trade fair will transform an IT trade fair that previously focused on the capital and its neighbouring regions, presenting solutions and interactive elements for the most important IT and communications topics concerning industry in Germany's eastern regions.

IT Profits 4.0, which takes place on 28 and 29 May 2008, is the first IT trade fair to address specialist topics of particular interest in Mecklenburg-West Pomerania, Brandenburg, Berlin, Saxony-Anhalt, Saxony and Thuringia. They include IT user security, broadband internet for businesses, use of professional IT services in small and medium-sized enterprises in Germany's central and eastern regions. Acting as a job platform and freelancers' job exchange, IT Profits 4.0 will also be mediating the services of qualified personnel in IT companies from the Baltic to the Erzgebirge.

Jens Heithecker, Director at Messe Berlin: "After numerous contacts with industry initiatives and disseminators of information we decided that Berlin was an ideal venue to present the important issue of IT in its role offering support for industry in Germany's central and eastern regions. In close coordination with our partners in the new federal States we are concentrating IT Profits 4.0 on precisely those topics of concern to people in Rostock, Schwerin, Magdeburg, Halle, Berlin, Potsdam, Frankfurt/Oder, Cottbus, Dresden, Chemnitz, Leipzig, Erfurt and Jena. The outstanding IT solutions from the new federal States both need and deserve a showroom tailored to their special requirements."

Among the topics which IT Profits 4.0 will focus on are IT products and services for the housing industry, portable solutions for industrial companies and providers of services, multimedia products and services for businesses, as well as the legal issues involved with IT and communications applications. Cooperating with Messe Berlin are trade associations, industry and business initiatives from the new federal States, who will be offering their specialist support. The organisers of IT Profits 4.0 expect more than 100 exhibitors and 4, 000 visitors to attend, mainly from Germany's central and eastern regions and neighbouring eastern countries.
