The Gourmet Housewares Show

Showcasing the most elite in the gourmet and high-end design products industry for 32 years, The Gourmet Housewares Show continues to add to the excitement of taking the show back to Las Vegas. A growing list of exhibitors and programming additions ensure the show will be a must-attend event. The 2008 Gourmet Housewares Show is scheduled for May 6-8, at the Sands Expo and Convention Center in Las Vegas, NV-co-located with GLM's Global Home Textiles and Global Home Décor shows.

The Gourmet Housewares Show has long prided itself on appealing to the highly selective and discriminating buyer interested in upscale products for the kitchen and dining room. Among the growing list of upscale exhibitors-some new and others well-known-are Palate & Plate, Diva Chocolates, TableTops with a Twist, Tastefully Unique, Yamazaki Tableware, Samantha Grace Designs, Pasabahce, Haute Cuisine, and Wilton Armetale.

With over 400 exhibitors, the show represents some 1000 product lines and draws hundreds of leading independent specialty retail stores and industry buying groups such as A Southern Season, Chef's Catalog, Cook's Emporium, Gourmet Catalog, HTI Buying Group, Kitchen Kaboodle, Now You're Cooking, Sign of the Bear, as well as forward-thinking large retailers including Bed, Bath & Beyond, Neiman-Marcus, Macy's Home, Bloomingdale's, J.C. Penney, the Home Shopping Network, Whole Foods, Crate & Barrel, Costco, Linens 'N Things, and Gracious Home.

The Culinary Center, the Gourmet Show's nexus of celebrity chef appearances, cooking demonstrations and seminars, will again be a major draw for the 2008 show featuring Chef Todd English, Chef David Burke, and Chef Rock-from Season 3 of the reality show, Hell's Kitchen, along with other demonstrations, seminars, and panel discussions led by industry leaders.

The Show will also feature the return of the popular Gourmet Golds Awards, which will showcase the new "Green" award. The awards highlight the show's best new products in these other categories: Cookware/Bakeware; Kitchen Electrics; Gadgets, Cutlery and Accessories; Gourmet Gifts and Specialty Food; and Tabletop and Textiles. A Best in Show Award is also given-with 2008 sure to be a tight race to the finish line.
