The Hong Kong Gifts & Premium Fair

The Hong Kong Gifts & Premium Fair is returning this year with a wealth of inspiration and fresh ideas to liven up any buyer inventory. The biggest event of its kind in the world, the fair will run from April 28 to May 1, 2008 at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre. Organised by the Hong Kong Trade Development Council in co-operation with The Hong Kong Exporters' Association, the Hong Kong Gifts & Premium Fair will bring together around 3, 900 exhibitors in more than 4,200 booths to display an immense array of gift and premium products under one roof.

The Hall of Fine Designs has become a fair within the fair. In this elegant environment, buyers can find stylish, imaginative designs geared towards the high end of the market. This zone is attractive to buyers who are seeking world-class products that are distinguishable from the general market.

As well as the Hall of Fine Designs, buyers can explore Kids' World, a well-stocked toy box packed with many kinds of toys, games, gadgets, arts and crafts and stationery for children, which may be educational or fun-filled, or perhaps both. The Silverware Section will showcase silverplated figurines and miniatures, fragrance-related wares, jewellery and jewellery boxes, plus desk sets and accessories. The Ladies' Gifts & Premium Section offers a host of exciting ideas aimed at women, from the practical to the flamboyant.

Now in its 23rd edition, the fair has established its status in the industry as one of the world's most important sourcing platforms. The Director of Fabiamce Importer & Distributor, Brazil, Mr Fabiano Cecilio Tambury, has visited the fair for many years, and recognises it as one of the most important trade events. "It is a great place to find the best gift items. We have already found six items, two for Easter and the rest for Christmas, for which we will place orders. We should buy a lot and that will involve at least three or four containers of goods, " said Tambury at last year's fair. In 2007, the fair attracted more than 50, 500 visitors from 141 countries and regions.

Hong Kong suppliers are becoming more popular in the gifts and premium industry. According to the survey conducted during the Hong Kong Gifts & Premium Fair 2007, 75% of the interviewed buyers are currently sourcing from Hong Kong suppliers. Among buyers who are not currently sourcing from Hong Kong suppliers, 65% are keen to source from them in the near future. The major characteristics of Hong Kong suppliers that attract buyers are good design, high quality, competitive pricing and creativity.

The Hong Kong Gifts & Premium Fair runs concurrently with Hong Kong International Auto Parts & Accessories Fair and Hong Kong International Printing & Packaging Fair, held at AsiaWorld-Expo, adjacent to Hong Kong International Airport.
