Trade Fair for Machine Technology, Equipment and Supplies

Some 1,200 exhibitors and over 100,000 trade visitors are expected again at the exhibition duo HOLZ-HANDWERK and fensterbau/frontale from 2-5 April 2008. The display area in the Exhibition Centre Nuremberg is already practically fully booked months before the exhibition starts.

"Many of the exhibitors at HOLZ-HANDWERK will present their products on an appreciably larger scale than two years ago, " says Roland Kast, Exhibition Director of HOLZ-HANDWERK at NürnbergMesse. "This trend applies to all product segments, but particularly the component suppliers are tending to grow." This means HOLZ-HANDWERK will again be the big get-together in 2008 for carpenters, joiners and furnishing consultants, plus architects and interior designers.

The reason for this good development of the exhibition is mainly the present positive economic climate: "Although the final figures are not yet available, 2007 will be a very successful year for our industry. We expect 12 per cent more turnover, " says Dr. Bernhard Dirr, General Manager of the Fachverband Holzbearbeitungsmaschinen im VDMA. "The increased orders from the craft-related segments are encouraging. In the first three quarters, these have risen by some 20 per cent over the previous year, a boost due especially to the regional craft firms. HOLZ-HANDWERK will certainly be one of the sources of inspiration for the coming year. Based on the available figures, we assume 2008 will be another good year similar to 2007 and expect growth of some 11 per cent in the industry."

HOLZ-HANDWERK, the European Trade Fair for Machine Technology, Equipment and Supplies for the Wood Crafts, is organized by the Fachverband Holzbearbeitungsmaschinen im VDMA and NürnbergMesse. The co-sponsors of HOLZ-HANDWERK are the Fachverband Schreinerhandwerk Bayern (FSH) and the Fachverband des Maschinen- und Werkzeug-Großhandels e.V. (FDM). HOLZ-HANDWERK 2008 again takes place parallel to fensterbau/frontale, the world-leading exhibition for windows, doors and facades. The highlight: Admission to both exhibitions is possible with one entrance ticket.
