Chile To Open BODIES ... The Exhibition

Premier Exhibitions, Inc., announced that it will open BODIES ... The Exhibition in Santiago, Chile, March 13th. Appearing at Espacio Kennedy, the Exhibition will feature more than 16 whole-body specimens and more than 200 human organs and partial body specimens.

"Espacio Kennedy lies in Santiago's most modern metropolitan area, with extensive suburban developments, leading shopping centers, impressive architecture and heavy cultural influences, " states Bruce Eskowitz, President and CEO of Premier Exhibitions, Inc. "We are very proud to be part of the city's landscape and continue our presence and success in South America."

BODIES ... The Exhibition will provide the public with an opportunity to see inside carefully preserved anatomical specimens and learn the detailed structure and function of the human body. In this process, human tissue is permanently preserved using liquid silicone rubber that is treated and hardened.

The end result is a rubberized specimen, preserved to the cellular level, showcasing the complexity of the body's many bones, muscles, nerves, blood vessels and organs. The full-body specimens can take more than a year to prepare. After undergoing the polymer preservation process, they become impervious to decomposition.

Located in the central part of Chile, Santiago is the nation's capitol and is one of the largest cities in South America. With nearly two decades of uninterrupted economic growth, Santiago maintains a diverse and robust tourism market while serving as the region's financial center.

BODIES ... The Exhibition has attracted nearly seven million visitors and is currently open in New York, Las Vegas, Pittsburgh, Ft. Lauderdale, Cincinnati, Barcelona and Madrid.
