Dubai - Getex-Careers & Training 2008
Dubai - Getex-Careers & Training 2008, the international job fair to be held at the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre from April 2 to 5, is gearing up to offer professionals and students a broad spectrum of employment options from over 10 industry sectors.
The event aims to bring the best in regional and international talent, together with organisations looking to add to their human resource pools at a fraction of normal vetting and recruitment cost, a Press release said.
GETEX-Careers & Training 2008 is seeking to represent a large number of industry sectors so that potential employees can explore various career avenues. The objective is to create a dynamic spectrum of cross-sectoral opportunities for professionals with all levels of experience, " commented Anselm Godinho, Managing Director of the show organisers IC&E.
Schlumberger and show sponsors ADNOC are among the exhibitors representing recruiters in the oil and gas sector, while hotel chains such as Monarch are looking to hire talent in the hospitality industry.
Government organisations, including Dubai Municipality and the UAE Civil Aviation Authority are seeking employees with a flair for public services, while education providers like the British University in Dubai are headhunting academics and instructors.
GETEX-Careers & Training 2008 is also hosting a portfolio of specialist recruitment agencies and facilitators, including CP, Dulsco, Oil Arabia, Intuit and Tanmia.
"The aim is to reduce the usual opportunity cost associated with gathering leads and following them up from both a recruiter and potential employee viewpoint. We are gathering a critical mass of recruiters and organisations seeking talent under one roof, and inviting professionals to take advantage of this opportunity. We are also hosting recruitment agencies and consultants to further facilitate the process, " noted Godinho.
This is one of the three concurrent events being held under GETEX Dubai, the Middle East's largest education event running from April 1 to 5 at the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre.
