For the first time, event-hall operators and event planners will be targeted by a special offer at the forthcoming Prolight + Sound from 12 to 15 March 2008. With "MICE at Prolight + Sound", the trade fair offers everyone working in the field of Meetings / Incentives / Conventions / Events (MICE) a meeting platform and the chance to make contact to fellow experts. The new platform is a collaboration of Messe Frankfurt and the European Association of Event Centres, which represents around 560 event centres, congress centres, arenas and special-event locations in Europe.

This project will give the event sector more room at Prolight + Sound and provide a new marketing platform for the event centres belonging to the EVVC. The aim of the new area on the upper level of the Galleria is to create a meeting place for event centres and visitors interested in this subject, e.g., national and international event planners from agencies, associations, parties, municipalities and public authorities, as well as corporate planners and professional congress organisers (PCO).

"With Prolight + Sound, Messe Frankfurt has been a very important partner of the EVVC for many years. Thus, we are particularly pleased to have this opportunity to extend our strategic partnership with the fair and exhibition company. The whole sector meets at the leading trade fair for lighting and sound technology. Now, we want to give our 560 member companies the chance to make presenta¬tions at the fair. Without doubt, the relaxed lounge atmosphere in which EVVC members can hold discussions with their customers represents an excellent addition to the existing concept of the fair", says August Moderer, President of the EVVC about MICE at Prolight + Sound.

Approximately 20 member- and partner-companies of the EVVC will present their products and services in a special area of MICE at Prolight + Sound. Visitors can make contact with specific exhibitors and event-centre operations, as well as gather informa¬tion and conduct discussions in the pleasant atmosphere of the special MICE Meeting Club. During the run-up to Prolight + Sound, visitors can also make appointments with MICE-exhibitors.

In Frankfurt am Main, visitors will find the technology, the services and the event planners all together at the same time and place. In other words, it is the ideal setting for event-centre operators to make contact with all con¬cerned", explains Jürgen Kupczik, Director of Prolight + Sound.
