Fashion Exposed is Australia’s Premier Fashion Fair

Created to give emerging designers a break in the highly competitive Australasian fashion arena, debut returns for its 5th seasonwith 12 talented finalists for Spring Summer 2008 at Fashion Exposed & preview from 9-11 March 2008.

The increasing success of debut has resulted in an abundance of applications arriving each season. However, each designer must meet strict criteria to enter debut presenting collections in the following categories; Apparel (womenswear, menswear, urban/streetwear and childrenswear), Accessories (footwear, millinery, jewellery and bags) and Avant Garde (single garment and eveningwear).

In addition, debut has been the ideal launch pad for many new designers. It is great to see emerging talent mixing with some of Australia's leading buyers, media and the industry at large and I am really excited about this season's selection, " said curator Uli Hasel.

The debut finalists for the Spring Summer 2008 season include the talented, Holly Chalmers, Natalie Pietraszek, Phong Tan Kim and Ellen Adele from New South Wales; Jaime Beattie and Emily Stewart from Queensland; Alexi Freeman, Emma Vick, Karen Wong from Victoria; Selina Ding and Kim Nyugen from Western Australia and Yumi Holder from the A.C.T.
