Euro Attractions Show To Be Held in Munich For First Time in 2008

At a press conference on October 2007, the organizers of the Euro Attractions Show announced that, for the first time, EAS will be held in Munich in 2008. EAS is organized by two leading trade associations, i.e. the European Association Amusement Supplier Industry and the International Association of Amusement Parks and Attractions. During the press conference, the contract for holding EAS 2008 in Munich was signed by Munich International Trade Fairs and the EAS signatories.

As a result, from September 30 – October 2, 2008 the New Munich Trade Fair Centre will host the most important gathering for owners and operators of amusement parks and recreational facilities. More than 55 companies have already booked stand space for showcasing their many products and services at the Munich Trade Fair Centre. During the three-day event, they will present rides as well as stuffed animals, food and beverages and theme-park layout and design services. The trade fair will also feature a number of training opportunities for managers of amusement parks and theme parks and several networking events for industry professionals.

EAS 2008 in Munich is being held at the same time as the Oktoberfest, which creates synergy effects for exhibitors and visitors alike. Trade visitors attending EAS are owners, managing directors and operators of fairs, amusement parks, theme parks and water parks. Among other things, the fair's visitors come from the sectors for zoos, aquariums, museums, stadiums, camping sites, casinos and shopping centers.

As of 2008, EAS will be held twice a year at alternating venues. It will kick of the year 2008 in Nice and give owners and operators of amusement parks and theme parks a chance to purchase innovative new products for the 2008 season and gather information on the latest trends. The autumn event in Munich gives industry professionals an additional chance to make important purchasing decisions for the 2009 season.
