Christmasworld Trend Show-2008

What are the latest trend colours? For which products is there a particularly great demand? Which subjects will dominate the forthcoming festive and decorative season? During a visit to the fair, these are the questions buyers ask when considering the products to be ordered and how best to compile their assortments. The Trend Show at Christmasworld, the world's trade fair for festive decorations in Frankfurt am Main from 23 to 27 January 2008, will be distinguished by a broad spectrum of first-rate information for buyers about the latest trends.

In Hall 9.2, Cem Bora, Claudia Herke and the Creative Team from 'Stilbüro bora.herke' will stage an elaborate trend presentation designed to give trade visitors not only inspiration for choosing their products but also ideas for ways in which they can display these products in their shops.

The heart of the 2008 Trend Show consists of four trend islands, each of which illustrates current trend themes in a variety of festive and decorative variations. The themes defined by Netherlands designer Gunnar Frank – Banzai East, Baroque South, Candy West and Lagom North – are based on elements of style from all directions of the compass and include details from many different cultural settings.

The Trend Show represents great added value for trade visitors: all products shown come from Christmasworld exhibitors and are marked with their names and stand numbers. Thus, if a product arouses a visitor's interest, he or she can order it straight away at Christmasworld. Additionally, the displays of Bora and Herke, which have the appearance of a shop window, constitute an extraordinary source of inspiration for the trade. Buyers looking for creative ideas for their own shop windows will find a host of ideas at the Trend Show.

In this connection, the Creative Team has its eye firmly on the different types of consumer to be found in the trade, and interprets the trend themes accordingly: premium minimalism in Asian style dominates Banzai East with high-grade materials, reduced but bold decorations and arrangements for discerning, self-assured con¬sumers.

The Baroque South trend island radiates colourful opulence oriented towards the wishes of an affluent, luxury-loving customer. The focus of the Candy West thematic world is on a young, trend-oriented target group and presents a fascinating display of overwhelming pop-art kitsch. Lagom North revolves around tradition, folklore and nature. Scandinavia and its typical northern landscapes is the source of inspiration for this theme, which is aimed at a nature-loving, traditionally-minded clientele.

Guided tours of the Trend Show will be held daily at 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. during Christmasworld. Meet at the Trend Show area in Hall 9.2, stand D90 – E98. Insights into the latest trends in the world of paper, office supplies and stationery can be found at the Trend Show of Paperworld, which is held parallel to Christmasworld, in Hall 6.1.
