The Salon International De La Lingerie

The must-see event for lingerie professionals is back with its new 2008 edition, promising a subtle blend of glamour and business. The Salon International de la Lingerie will take place between Thursday 24th and Sunday 27th January 2008 in Paris, in HALL 1 of Porte de Versailles, timed to coincide with the other major Parisian fashion trade shows.

This prestigious event is scheduled to bring together over 580 exhibitors and over 22,000 French and international visitors in an exhibition space measuring 40,152 m². Fully-expanding "Morphing-wear" sector In 2008, the Salon International de la Lingerie will give pride of place to a new sector that is enjoying impressive expansion and develop a range of "Morphing-wear", based around values – for example comfort and wellbeing – that are now crucial to consumers.

This involves offering products tailored to the requirements and specific needs of those who demand more attention to details such as technical properties, support, aesthetics and comfort: maternity lingerie, remodelling accessories, padding, shaping, straps and support products, while opening up to post-surgery lingerie (e.g. the new French brand, Oémée). Exhibiting brands include: Body Wrap (USA), Brazabra (USA), Confort care and Beauty Line (ESP), Finebelle (FR), Hotmilk (NZ), Plié Brazilian Shapewear (UK), Rago (USA), Tonus Elast (LV), Z Sport (FR), Plié Brazilian Shapewear (UK).

For the first time, the Salon International de la Lingerie will be offering visitors a"Franchise Tour" enabling brands that have developed their distribution networks and specialist chain stores to recruit new franchisees. Lasting for the duration of the show, the programme will include: meetings with recruiting brands in the form of a "market-specific tour", a day-long series of conferences dedicated to franchising and assistance from a number of experts who are on-hand to accompany, advise and direct future franchisees.

For this new edition, the Salon International de la Lingerie is unleashing its mischievous and cheeky side by stepping up the Spicy Boutique. Already a great success in 2007, this space has been expanded and brings together all types of complementary products that work in harmony with the lingerie industry, from cosmetics and accessories, such as sex-toys, to a range of decorative elements and merchandising ideas for boutiques, including mannequins, hangers and display busts, etc.

Ever in advance of the latest fashion trends and directions, the Salon International de la Lingerie will present the future best-sellers and key new pieces from exhibiting brands on its Forum, while its many catwalk shows bring to life the "must-have" items and new directions in the sector. Forum and catwalk show themes for 2008: Pleasures and Craft, Bio Creations, Neo Futurista, Menswear Trends.

The four-day trade show will be punctuated by a series of conferences, designed to accompany professionals in the success of their business. Led by specialists from the sector, they will tackle new sales opportunities, the latest merchandising concepts, potential areas for developing the sector, with a focus on brands and labels, the international situation, sustainable development and fashion trends.
