Indiawood-2008

The Asian Woodworking Industry is currently witnessing phenomenal growth with the steady and steep increase in the wake of the demand from escalating disposable income amongst consumers at large and the demand posed by the huge increase in building infrastructure, especially with the real estate boom across the region. The success and growth of Indiawood to explore a venue that can accommodate the exhibition's expected growth in 2008, that's about to feature close to 450 exhibitors over a space of not less than 25000 sq. mtrs. Hence, the fifth edition of Indiawood, scheduled from 29th February – 4th March 2008, will now be held at Bangalore International Exhibition Centre (BIEC).

An ever-increasing demand from the real estate sector – both residential and the commercial, poses a huge demand calling for ready to use wood related products and accessories that enable completeness of the built up area in their respective classifications.

The proliferation of real estate growth and increased levels of disposable income generates the demand for wood related products, be it panel boards, furniture, accessories, materials and other products that augment mass production needs. Enabling this is the demand increase for modern technology and machinery which only would help in meeting the requirements.

Indiawood, an International exhibition of woodworking machinery, tools, accessories, materials and products, since it's inception in 1999, has been instrumental in empowering woodworking industry of the Asian region at large and India in particular. Indiawood has always been a sought after platform in the region amongst the woodworking community, manufacturers, exporters and importers of wood products, machinery, tools and accessories in the region that can augment the market needs and demands.

BIEC is Bangalore's first state-of-the-art & permanent exhibition center, consisting of three large halls with a capacity to accommodate 35,000 sq mtrs of exhibition space. Exhibitors at Indiawood 2008 can look forward to modern infrastructural facilities like under-the-floor ducting for power, water, compressed air and telecommunication networks, enabling easy and smooth movement, across the exhibition space. The floor has a load-bearing capacity of 30 tonnes per sq mtr, thus facilitating smooth & trouble free operation of heavy machinery too.
