| The Design Bar at the Stockholm Furniture Fair-2008 In 2008, the Design Bar at the Stockholm Furniture Fair will be transformed into a disaster area. The transformation is the work of the Save Our Souls design team, who want to give greater depth to design and make us reflect more carefully on what we see. Founded in 2005, Save Our Souls consists of Johannes Carlström and Magdalena Nilsson, who have been commissioned to design the 2008 Design Bar. In everything they do, they strive to make us think deeper and reflect on what we see. Design Bar 2008 will feel both threatening and exciting. In a dark interior with subdued lighting, visitors will among other things be able to take their place in seats shaped like letters of the alphabet. Each seat can be experienced individually, although together they spell the words greed, hate, lies and fear. The purpose of the Design Bar, which is a mixture of exhibition and bar, is to put the spotlight on a particular Swedish designer or group. Among previous designers of the Bar are Marge Arkitektbyrå, the Front design collective and, last year, designer duo BrobergRidderstråle.
