BBC Good Food Show

In a move that will set taste buds tingling across Scotland, BBC Haymarket Exhibitions Ltd will announce that this year it is bringing its highly successful BBC Good Food Show to the SECC in Glasgow between 2 and 4 November. Everything that has made the hugely successful BBC Good Food Shows in Birmingham and London so popular will be included, with celebrity chefs such as Gordon Ramsay, Nick Nairn and James Martin showcasing their skills and offering a plethora of tips, advice and inspiration to all budding chefs.

Featured exhibitors at today's launch include award winning organic cheeses from one of Scotland's most exciting new ventures, the Connage Highland Dairy. This tempting new range includes the Connage Clava, a smooth and delicately flavoured Brie, Connage Crowdie, a deliciously soft and creamy fresh curd cheese and the Connage Dunlop, a hard cheese with a rounded nutty, warm and creamy taste that lingers on the palate.

Harvey Nichols offer a flavour of their famous 4th floor Foodmarket in Edinburgh at the launch with their own brand Pesto Alla Genovese boasting a wonderful fresh flavour and luscious colour and Harvey Nichols' own Extra Virgin Olive Oil made from hand-harvested native Sicilian varieties of olives. And no journey into Italian flavours would be complete without a unique hand-made 'soft-centred' amaretti from the heart of Liguria.

The Italian influence is also important for Scotland's first European-style liquid delicatessen, Demijohn, who have taken all that is best about Scottish produce and blended it with the best the continent has to offer. From Raspberry Vodka made in East Lothian and Seville Orange Gin Liqueur made in Worcestershire to Demijohn's infamous 25 Year Old Traditional Balsamic Vinegar produced just north of Modena, the uniqueness of the products has been a major factor in the company's success.
