eGames & Entertainment Expo

Following on from the enormous success of the inaugural eGames & Entertainment Expo which was launched in 2006, Australasian Exhibitions & Events is pleased to announce that the eGames & Entertainment Expo will return in 2007 at the Melbourne Exhibition Centre from November 16 -18.

In addition to the return of eGames, organisers are excited by the decision made by the Game Developers Association of Australia to hold their annual conference - GameConnect Asia Pacific - during the week of the expo in Victoria. The simultaneous staging of the two events will create a dynamic industry week in Melbourne, with enthusiasts from Australia and overseas expected to flock to Melbourne to share ideas, network and have fun in an educational and interactive environment.

Multimedia Victoria have signed on as a major sponsor for the event and the eGames event organisers are working closely with Multimedia Victoria and the GDAA to ensure that this year the expo has an even greater emphasis on education and career opportunities within the games industry.

A number of the previous exhibitors have already signed up, with many increasing the size of their stands. With the new generation games consoles now in the marketplace there will be increased action from games publishers and accessory manufactures who will use the expo to release a host of next generation games for the vital Christmas time frame.

Visitors to eGames will have the unique opportunity to try and buy the latest and greatest in gaming technology and digital entertainment and participate in a wide range of exclusive 'at show' activities and competitions over the three day event.
