Network Performance Management Imperative at IP'07

Network management is on the move from a traditional device-centric to an application performance approach. At an educational seminar at IP'07, Earls Court, London, Rob Denton-Powell, NetQoS Inc. sales manager, will explore how in the increasingly dynamic enterprise environment, reactive, device-centric network performance strategies and practices are no longer sufficient to assure optimal delivery of voice, video, and data applications.

Topic: This session describes how by putting application performance at the core of network management strategies and practices, organisations can prove application performance, mitigate the risks of change, and make informed infrastructure improvements and investments.

Speaker: Rob Denton-Powell, NetQoS sales manager for UK, Ireland, and Sub-Saharan Africa, has been involved in developing solutions for some of the UK's and Europe's largest and most successful network management deployments over the last 10 years, including the Royal Air Force, Credit Suisse, Barclays, Citigroup, Reuters, Deutsche Bank, UPC and the Dutch Army.

NetQoS launched its direct European presence in January 2007, augmenting its established reseller network, and has since achieved more than 80 percent year-on-year growth rate in the region. Its 700+ global customer base includes half of the Fortune 100 and 27 of the Global 50. The NetQoS Performance Center product suite provides global visibility into end-to-end performance monitoring, traffic analysis, device performance management, and VoIP performance data to help network engineers, operations staff, IT managers, and executives be more effective in capacity planning, troubleshooting, and service level management.
