Europe's Trade Show For IT Security: Systems 2007

At SYSTEMS 2007, to be held at the New Munich Trade Fair Centre from October 23 - 26, the IT security will be one of the fair's primary themes. This year SYSTEMS is focusing on two topics of importance to companies of all sizes: the mega-trend of "mobile IT" and employee certification.

In two series of events that are free of charge to visitors – "High-Noon" and "IT(ea) Time", experts will explain ways for audience members to secure their mobile IT solutions and given them practical tips. They will also examine issues such as vocational certification and help visitors remain oriented despite the glut of training courses for IT experts. More than 300 exhibitors will be on hand in Hall B3 with information, presentations and solutions that revolve around IT security in their companies.

Europe's trade show for IT security will also focus on related topic: the range of certification programs for IT-security employees is almost impossible to keep track of. When it comes to internationally recognized courses that comply with ISO/IEC 17024, 29 profiles are available for IT-specialist certificates alone. For this reason, SYSTEMS will examine which training courses and certificates are most suitable for whom, which methods and standards apply and what the various certificates entail.

The IT Security Area at SYSTEMS, where more than 300 companies are expected – from international market leaders to innovative start-ups – will feature two main information formats At "High Noon" panel discussions, which will be held at the Red Forum in Hall B3 each day at noon, visitors can gather reliable information from experts free of charge.

Tuesday and Friday will revolve around mobile security solutions that answer the following questions: What special risks should users and operators of mobile systems be ready for? What ways are there to protect data in mobile systems against unauthorized access if the equipment is lost? What practical dangers does malware pose for cell phones and smart phones? What aids and solutions are available? What requirements should security policies meet?

Wednesday and Thursday will focus on training and vocational certificates: What academic and vocational courses are available on the topic of IT security and what can be used as a basis to compare various courses of instruction? An entire range employee certificates for IT security are already competing for the approval of potential participants and decision-makers. Experts will give visitors an overview as well as their opinions.
